Smorgasbord

From Crowell Post

We kicked off the holidays with a favorite smorgasbord-of-a-dinner with the DeYoung crew. We each drew part of the menu: Main dish, side(s), drinks, table decor, and dessert. The variety was fantastic: Crackers and cheese, garlic bread, egg rolls, frog-eye salad, delicious roast, virgin cosmopolitans, and a light cheesecake dessert. Dad added a touch of elegance in the table decoration and surprised us in a little game {after some plate scrambling, Ray happened to have the sticker on the bottom of his plate--winning him some extra cash for Christmas}. It's fun to share your favorite or taste at the moment with family!

Dinner was followed by a tour of the luminarias {a favorite of mine} at Leavitt's. After a candle-lit drive, we came home and we little elves went to work!
